A short description of myself:
I'm sixty-nine years old and am in fairly good health, although I'm on medication for both high
blood pressure and cholesterol. I'm slightly overweight, so I try to take a walk every day,
usually about two miles. I do a little yoga, which I enjoy, but for the most part | don't like strenuous exercise. Even as a child I hated having to play organized physical games.

I've been happily married for nearly fifty years to the love of my life. I'm happy to be a mother
and, now, a grandmother. I think the two most important things to do as a parent are to listen to your children and to read to them.

I love to read and often go back to my favorite
books over and over. I find it comforting to re-read them. I also like to make things. I love color and the older I get, the more I like the color green. I enjoy cooking, as long as I don't have to make the same dishes all the time. I also like yard-work, especially big projects, but I don't care for normal gardening maintenance.

My eyes are blue and my once dark-blonde hair has become silver. I've worn glasses forever and feel naked in public without them.

Finally, I'm a kind person, which is the quality I'm most proud to possess.

A description without o's:

I turned sixty-nine this year and am fairly healthy, despite taking hyper tenseness medicine as well as pills that reduce my lipid fats. I'm slightly plump and walk a few miles every day if can. I like stretching exercises but am unhappy with harder physical practices. Even as a child, hated running and playing structured games.

I've been married nearly fifty years and esteem my husband. Having children and grandchildren is what makes me happiest. I think that reading with children and listening when they speak are special aspects in raising them.

I like reading very much and find it calming when I re-read treasured tales. I'm amused
by making things and am attracted by green hues. I Like preparing meals if I can use
unusual ingredients. And I like large tasks in the yard but dislike regular gardening maintenance.

My eyes are blue and my hair, which was dark flaxen when I was a teenager, is currently silver. I wear glasses and in public feel naked in their absence.

My character quality that I find especially pleasing is that I'm kind.

A short fantasy:

The old woman had lived a long life, full of health, travel and happiness. She had been married to a good man for many years and her children and grandchildren brought an immense amount of joy into her life. But the child she found in her garden pulled at her heart strings in different way.

He had not been under a cabbage leaf, but behind a rock that she was moving from one place
to another. She stopped, her plump figure shadowing his face. She wondered if she had accidentally taken too much medicine that morning: what else could explain that she was seeing things? She shook the silver hair off her face. Then her bright blue eyes filed with tears; when she listened closely, she heard a tiny, plaintive voice calling to her and she knew the child needed her.

She cleaned him, cooked for him, and wrapped him in a green quilt she'd made years before. Then she read to him for hours, many of the long-loved tales she used to read to her own children. Finally, she rose to tel her husband about their new child.

She felt happy. The child needed help and she was in a position to give it. Ultimately, she was a
kind old soul

A bit of doggerel:

I've lived a long and healthy life

Full of joy and little strife

I've loved my husband many years.

We smile together through all our fears.

My children always bring me joy

And now my grands: a girl, a boy.

I love to read, I like to sew,

I cook and watch the garden grow.

My dark blonde hair has turned to white,

My waist is full- no longer slight.

| need my glasses now to see

(But always have. They're part of me)

Of all my attributes, you'll find

The best is this: that is, I'm kind.
