An adaptation of Chekhov’s short story, Ward #6 is a drama about two intersecting lives.
Andrey Yefimitch, a dispassionate doctor who is in continual despair over the intellectual stagnation of his town meets Ivan Dimitritch, a patient in the mental ward, suffering from the mania of persecution. Set in nineteenth century Russia, this show is staged with ropes and pulleys. Props and set pieces are lowered and flown again as necessary.
