MACBETH IS A CURSED PLAY
A mockumentary-style production detailing an attempt at mounting Shakespeare’s cursed play.
In fact, it’s so cursed that many theater people never say the title, and certainly not in a theater. Many companies wouldn’t even dare to mount a production of M*****h. Then again, it’s free, relatively short and has great name recognition, so many other companies would dare.
That brings us to Macblank, a ridiculous comedy about a theater company trying to mount Shakespeare’s cursed play. As if the many strange happenings during past productions weren’t enough to deal with, one company member delves a little too deeply into the plot for the ensemble’s good.
We choose to walk the fine line of doing a show about one of these daring companies. And because we wrote our version, it is also free and relatively short. But it has zero name recognition.
