The Odyssey: A Walking Tour

The Odyssey: A Walking Tour was just that. The audience was split into two and led around the space on simultaneous tours, both of which chronicled different adventures on Odysseus’ long journey home. Vicky and Todd, the tour guides of this strange museum, led the way through the islands of Circe (complete with pig slaves), the Cyclops (featuring hanging TVs with human bodies), Thrinacia (where the audience sat around a huge dinner table only to be served rotting cow carcass) and much, much more. Each room offered a completely different atmosphere. To top this odd experience off, each audience member wore a walkman, through which they received all of the show’s sound, meaning all of the acting was lip-synched. Therefore, each person was isolated on their own personal journey. A wild experience that almost defies explanation.
